Heritage Kits

The Heritage Kits are based on the Chugach Region Elders TEK where lessons are scope and sequenced; aligned with the Chugachmiut Curriculum Framework and Alaska State Cultural, Science and Geography Standards at the time of development. The kits include curriculum, books, posters, banners, objects, inter-active digital experiences, and field experiences as appropriate.

Celebrations

The Chugach people value seasonal celebrations still practiced today. These celebrations carry traditional and Russian influenced activities throughout the Region.

During pre-contact times there were seasonal villages in Prince William Sound. Over centuries, our ancestors established various settlements.
